"The pricing conversation alone changed how our board approached investment in people. We stopped comparing day-rates and started measuring return on leadership capacity."— Director of People Strategy, FTSE 250 manufacturer
"Most providers gave us a brochure. Catalyst gave us a diagnostic, a rationale for every pound spent, and a clear line from cost to organisational outcome."— Chief Operating Officer, Edinburgh-based fintech
Executive leadership training, priced by impact
We do not publish fixed packages because leadership development is not a commodity. Every engagement begins with a diagnostic, and the investment is shaped by the depth of change your organisation requires. This page explains exactly how we arrive at a number, what drives cost up or down, and why that transparency produces better outcomes than a menu of pre-set tiers.
If you have been comparing providers by day-rate alone, the sections below will reframe that decision entirely. Scroll through our pricing rationale, methodology, and readiness criteria — then decide whether a conversation makes sense.
What shapes the investment
Scope
The number of leaders involved, the seniority band, and whether the engagement covers a single cohort or cascades across multiple tiers of the organisation. A focused programme for six C-suite members costs differently from a leadership culture shift touching forty senior managers. We map scope during the diagnostic phase, never before.
Duration
Compressed intensives spanning two weeks require different facilitation density than twelve-month developmental arcs. Longer programmes include inter-session coaching, reflective assignments, and stakeholder feedback loops that compound impact but also compound resource. We recommend the shortest duration that can deliver lasting behavioural change.
Depth
Surface-level skill workshops sit at one end of the spectrum; deep strategic realignment — where we work with leaders on decision architecture, power dynamics, and organisational narrative — sits at the other. Depth is the single biggest cost lever, and we are transparent about what each level of depth can and cannot achieve.
Context
A leadership team navigating a merger faces different demands from one preparing for international expansion. Contextual complexity shapes research, preparation, and the calibre of facilitator assigned. We never apply a generic model to a specific organisational reality.
Follow-on
Post-programme support — executive coaching, 90-day check-ins, board-level debriefs — is optional but strongly correlated with sustained change. We price this separately so you can see exactly what ongoing support adds to the total investment.
Typical investment ranges
These ranges reflect engagements delivered between 2023 and 2025. They are indicative, not binding. Every programme is scoped individually after a diagnostic conversation.
All figures exclude VAT. Travel and venue costs, where applicable, are quoted separately.
Our methodology in practice
We blend applied behavioural science with strategic facilitation. Each programme is built around three pillars: cognitive reframing, relational intelligence, and decision architecture. Leaders do not simply learn new frameworks — they practise applying them to live organisational challenges during the programme itself.
Facilitators hold a minimum of fifteen years of senior leadership experience across sectors including financial services, healthcare, technology, energy, and public sector. They are not trainers reading slides; they are practitioners who have led teams through complexity and can challenge participants with credibility.
Every engagement includes a pre-programme diagnostic (interviews, psychometrics, or 360-degree feedback depending on scope) and a post-programme impact assessment. We measure behavioural shift, not satisfaction scores.

Fit check — is this right for your organisation?
You have a strategic trigger
Merger, restructure, succession planning, market expansion, or a performance plateau. Our work is most valuable when leadership capability is the bottleneck to a specific organisational ambition, not when training is a tick-box exercise.
Your leaders have authority
Participants should be people who make consequential decisions. If the cohort lacks real organisational power, the programme cannot produce systemic change. We will be honest about this during the diagnostic.
You can commit to the arc
Behavioural change requires time, practice, and reflection. If your calendar cannot protect the programme from being deprioritised, a shorter intensive may be more appropriate than a longer arc.
You want measurement, not theatre
We build measurement into every engagement. If your organisation prefers inspirational away-days without accountability for change, we are not the right partner. We are direct about this because it protects both parties.
Readiness questions
How do you determine the right investment level for our organisation?
Through a structured diagnostic conversation — typically 60 to 90 minutes with the commissioning sponsor and, where possible, a representative participant. We explore the strategic trigger, the cohort profile, the depth of change required, and any constraints around timing or budget. From that conversation, we produce a scoping document with a clear rationale for every element of the proposed investment.
Can we start with a smaller engagement before committing to a longer programme?
Yes. Many clients begin with a focused intensive or a diagnostic-only engagement. This allows both sides to assess fit before committing to a multi-month arc. We never pressure organisations into longer programmes; we recommend the format that matches the ambition and the readiness.
What happens if the programme is not delivering the expected impact?
We build review points into every engagement. If the data — participant feedback, behavioural observation, stakeholder input — suggests the programme is not producing change, we adjust the design mid-course. In rare cases, we have recommended pausing a programme because the organisational conditions were not yet right. We would rather protect our reputation for impact than deliver sessions that do not land.
Do you work with organisations outside the United Kingdom?
We have delivered programmes across Europe and the Middle East, and we work comfortably in English-speaking contexts globally. For non-English-speaking cohorts, we partner with local facilitation experts and adapt our methodology accordingly. Travel and accommodation costs are quoted separately for international engagements.
How is your approach different from a business school executive programme?
Business school programmes teach frameworks in a classroom setting alongside peers from other organisations. Our work is bespoke: built around your organisation's specific challenges, delivered to your leadership team, and measured against your strategic objectives. The learning is applied, not theoretical, and the facilitator relationship continues beyond the classroom.
Begin a diagnostic conversation
The first step is a confidential conversation about what your organisation is trying to achieve and whether leadership capability is the lever that will get you there. There is no obligation and no pitch — just a structured exploration of fit.
